India is celebrating its 78th Independence Day today on 15th August 2024

India is celebrating its 78th Independence Day today on 15th August. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor from the Red Fort for the 11th time. Modi said- The lovers of independence have given us the privilege of breathing freedom today. This country is indebted to great men. After independence, the countrymen had to go through the mother-father culture. We changed this model of governance. Today the government itself is fulfilling the needs of the people. First of all, PM Modi went to Rajghat in the morning and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
The theme of the 78th Independence Day is Developed India. Under this, the target has been set to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of independence.
We have resolved to make India developed by 2047. We are proud of our ancestors, their blood is in us. Our ancestors were only 40 crore, they broke the chains of slavery. The blood of our ancestors flows in our veins. If 40 crore countries can break the chains of slavery, then 140 crore countrymen should take a resolution, decide the direction, walk together, then no matter how big the challenges are, we can overcome every challenge and make India prosperous. We can achieve the resolution of developed India by 2047. If 40 crore people can make an independent India, then 140 crore people can make India prosperous with the same spirit. There was a time when people were committed to die for the country. Today is the time to commit to live for the country.

Modi said- Salute to our youth, farmers, women
Today we are protecting the country with full dedication for the protection of the nation and for nation building, whether it is our farmers, soldiers, our youth, the contribution of our mothers and sisters, their devotion towards freedom even amidst hardships is an inspiring event for the whole world. Today I respectfully salute all such people.

PM Shri Narendra Modi counted the suggestions of the countrymen:
Youth, elders, villagers, city dwellers, Dalits and tribals, everyone has given valuable suggestions for when the country celebrates 100 years of independence in 2047. Some people said- create skill capital of the world. Someone suggested a global manufacturing hub. Someone suggested a university hub. Our skilled youth should become the first choice of the world. India should become self-reliant in every field as soon as possible. The coarse grains of our farmers have to be put on every dining table in the world. There should be reforms in the judicial system of our country. Many people have dreamt that an Indian space station should be built in space. Our traditional medicine should be developed. India should become the third economy. These are the suggestions of our countrymen.

The trust of the youth on the country’s system and government has increased. New systems are being made in the country. New policies are being made to take the country forward, this increases trust in the country’s system. Today’s youth are seeing this change. In 10 years, their dreams have been sharpened. Today India’s reputation has increased in the world. Today, new employment opportunities have been created for the youth in the world, which had not come after so many years of independence, and are now knocking at their doors. The youth of my country does not believe in incremental progress but achieves goals directly. This is the golden era, it should not be let go. If we start moving forward with this, we will achieve the goal of developed India.
Modi said: We have also done reforms in the space sector. Its shackles have been opened. Hundreds of startups are coming into it. We are strengthening it with a long-term vision. Today private satellite rockets are being launched. When the policy and intention are right then results are achieved. Today new opportunities are created in the country. Then I can say that two more things happened, which have accelerated development. First – to modernize the infrastructure, second – to emphasize on the dream of ease of living. We want to progress by keeping the world’s best practices forward. There is a need for innovation in every sector. There is a need to connect technology. This is happening due to new policies. Let us move forward with full strength, blossom, achieve our dreams, see the accomplishment close, assimilate it, move in this direction. I am talking about the ground level, our 10 crore sisters are associated with the Women’s Self Group. Women are becoming financially self-reliant. They are becoming partners in the family’s decision. Our CEO is earning name across the world, on the other hand one crore sisters are becoming Lakhpati Didi.

In the last decade, our Eastern India has become known for its infrastructure like rail, road, government connectivity, village schools, hospitals, medical colleges, Ayushman, optical fibre, canal water, construction of permanent houses. The people who benefitted the most from this were the ones who were not noticed by anyone. The needs of the tribals and the remote mountains have been fulfilled. We have done all-round development. We have to promote ease of living in mission mode. You tell the government that these rules are not right, we will consider them. Reforms on governance will fulfill the dream of a developed India. Ordinary citizens should get respect in their lives, no one should say that it was my right, I did not get it, this should not happen. Today about 3 lakh organizations are working in the country. Today I want to say that if these institutions do two reforms in a year, then within no time we will do 25-30 lakh reforms in a year, then how far India will reach. Ordinary people have small problems at the panchayat level, these have to be resolved. Today, the country is full of aspirations. The youth of the country want to reach new heights, hence our effort is to accelerate the pace of work in every sector.
