There were chances of the match changing after Amit Rohidas was shown a red card in the second quarter but India displayed great composure and determination to take the game to a shootout and win despite being a man short for most of the time.

In the full-time match, the score of both the teams was equal to 1-1.By the end of the second quarter, both teams are tied at 1-1. In the 22nd minute of the match, captain Harmanpreet Singh gave India a 1-0 lead. This is his 7th goal in the Paris Olympics. Earlier, no team scored in the first quarter. In the 27th minute, Britain’s Lee Morton scored a goal and leveled the score.
The last quarter was also goalless. In such a situation, both the teams remained tied at 1-1 till full time.

After that Conor Williamson could not score in the third attempt and Philip Roper could not score in the fourth attempt. Here India’s experienced goalkeeper made a brilliant save.
